Don’t be discouraged. There are several unique but straightforward techniques to humanely trap hard-to-trap cats. The bulk of our information is contained in the TNR Manual For Ireland. In the winter of 2012, as part of an exciting national initiative with CATalyst and Feral Cats Ireland, we started pulling together information on TNR to inform, enable and inspire TNR projects throughout Ireland. Our TNR Manual for Ireland, a best practice handbook, is designed to be brief and portable, with the bulk of the supporting information easily accessible online. See the TNR Manual section of these pages to find the information for trappers, expanding on the manual (see also our Vet Pack for veterinary staff).
For the moment, the bulk of our information will be informing the Manual. In the longer term we'll be expanding and updating that information to give you a holistic understanding of the issues, attitudes and best practices of TNR. It's more complicated than you might think!
