TNR benefits the cats and the neighbourhood

All feral – unowned – cats are spayed or neutered. Back in their outdoor home, they will not reproduce – no more kittens! The annoying behaviours of mating cats, such as yowling or fighting, stop. TNR improves their lives and yours. It’s effective and humane. Other approaches for feral cats just don’t work.

Come along and find out more!

Whether you love cats – or hate them – TNR is the humane, long-term solution to the feline overpopulation problem. The sessions should be of interest to anyone in the community, cat lovers and cat haters, cat caregivers, veterinary staff and individuals involved in, or thinking of getting involved in, TNR projects.

We’re here to help you humanely manage your community cats.

Find out more about our Talking TNR sessions here.

TNR Training, 3pm

Thinking of helping community cats through TNR? A session on the practical application of TNR. Including preparation, trapping and aftercare tips and tricks. Play with the equipment, make friends with the paperwork and find out Best Practice methods, including Targetted Trapping and Colony Aftercare. Even if you’ve been trapping for years there’s something to learn and think about – and I’m sure you’ll have things to teach me too!

Working Together, 4pm

How to work productively and amicably with other animal welfare volunteers and workers from our own, and other, organisations. AND effectively working with the public, vets, caregivers, the media and funders. With a brief intro to social media tips & tricks, focusing on Facebook, but touching on Twitter, YouTube, Google+, PInterest, webpages and Hootsuite.

If you’d like to help fund our TNR awareness raising & education project – read all about it at Indiegogo, and find loads more information to share about TNR while you’re there. Any amount, no matter how small, will help put this show on the road and spread the TNR word. In the long term, it’ll help solve the feline overpopulation problem in Ireland. It’s that simple.
