Another great trip to New Start Cat Rescue in the UK. Fourteen felines for rehoming and one paying passenger. Rescues involved were Animal Advocacy (me), RAWR, Cork CAT and, for the first time, Limerick Feral Cats. Twas great to meet Lynda – though will have to make time for a coffee stop next time! And I did have time for a coffee break with Em from Community Cats Network – with the excuse of dropping some new equipment off with her. The journey’s the best excuse ever to see all my animal welfare mates 🙂
Saturday was a glorious sunny day for travelling. And Sunday was a glorious sunny day for basking in Wendy’s garden by the cattery. The rehoming day had a lot of cancellations – very unusual, but attributable to folk wanting to go to the beach imho, lol.
A very easy journey. Though heartbreaking to part company with my Trust, Faith and Morris gang 🙁 But, fingers crossed, they’ll all get fantastic homes in a sunnier clime than here.
Great to see the gang at New Start again! Love visiting. And now safe home, but a bit pooped.
If you’re near Newent in Glos, UK, why not get in touch with New Start and find out more about that fantabulous rescue. Maybe volunteer – or find a feline to enhance your life and fill your heart.
