National Hare Coursing Finals Protest, February 4th – Be There!

From ARAN

Dear Cork Members;

We are writing for your urgent help.

Up to 30,000 hare coursing supporters and supporters of other cruel sports such as fox hunting, shooting and deer stalking will converge for a three day event at Powerstown Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The final day, Monday February 4th, will see thousands of hunt supporters converge from across Ireland, and beyond, to take part and watch a horrid, cruel blood sport, hare coursing. This is the one day they all get together.

TAKE ACTION, BE THERE!

When: Monday, February 4th, 2013

Where: Powerstown Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary (Contact us via email for directions and info)

Contact: John Carmody 087 239 1646

For the last number of years demonstrations have started back up again outside of the coursing finals by animal rights groups. This year is going to be no different, which is why we are sending out an urgent request for people to please book time off work, school, college or anything else that stands in the way of your attendance at this most important, peaceful demonstration. The reason your attendance is needed at this demonstration is that there will be thousands of blood sport supporters directly opposite us in the coursing fields – we will stand peacefully opposite them to show the truth that all blood sports are cruel. It is vital you support this demonstration and do everything you can to be there, please do not leave it to someone else, or just the same few. We need new people to attend. Don’t do it for ARAN or any other group, do it for the animals who need you.

Please email arancampaigns@eircom.net to RSVP. The campaign to ban blood sports rests with those who are active, and we can assure you that we will never move mountains until we see a day where there is huge action amongst those who care and those who give a damn.

Thank you,

The ARAN Team!

P.S. It is extremely important you take time out and attend this peaceful demonstration wherever you live in Ireland. Click here for TV news footage of a previous demonstration.
