Lexington, Lexx for short, was rescued by AHAR in Killarney from their local pound. He’d been siezed from his ‘guardians’ because of neglect. He was emaciated. Suzanne from AHAR noticed he had a hugely swollen shoulder, a growth. Once he was healthy enough for the operation the growth was removed. He bust his stitches the day before he was coming down to me for fostering. The vet restitched his wound but we’re not sure if it will hold or not. He’s on cage rest. And he’s being soooooo good. Part collie, aged 8 months, he’d love to be full of beans but he’s behaving marvellously. He’s house trained!!! (My first canine fosteree who is – so I’m delighted!) It’ll be a while before he’s well enough to be rehomed but we’ll be looking for a home for him soon enough. Despite his rotten start in life, he’s a lovely natured pup, already sits to command and gets in his cage without wingeing. A total dote.

Lexx is looking for his forever home! He’s been out and about in Bantry recently, exploring the world. He’s seen the sea for the first time at Bantry bay (he loved it!); he’s been out to lunch at Atlanta House in Bantry town, and; he’s helped me out at my tat stall at Bantry market – I wasn’t sure how he’d react to all the people and activity … he had a ball!!!
