Me & Curly & Barley went up to Cork on Thursday to visit the fab Joe & Suzanne at Sunbeam Vets.
It turns out Curly has a fractured pelvis – he’s especially vulnerable because he has cowhocked legs (my lovely lil genetic mutant). So he needs six weeks cage rest.
Barley (another wee genetic mutant, who came from a hoarder in the UK and stayed with me because of her various health problems), it turns out, has a huge amount of problems with her wee mouth. We thought she just needed one extraction, but it’s going to be a much bigger job.
Both vets were fab with the furballs – terrific at diagnosis AND explaining everything.
While the guys were being checked out (both required xrays, so stayed at Sunbeam for the day) I headed off to visit Blackrock Castle Observatory, the wonderful Ann of Cork Cat Action Trust and – a special treat for a country hick like myself – Tesco Wilton.
Thought I’d share the sunny day with you. Even though it’s not ALL about animals
