EXCEPT – we’re totally burnt out and haven’t answered emails in forever. Many apologies. Normal service may resume, but not anytime soon. So prob best to find your local rescue and/or TNR group and contact them instead. Check out Rescue Animals Ireland for a listing – select your county in the pulldown menu.
Before you write to us, you’ll find the answers to most questions here:
- I’ve rescued a dog/cat/rabbit/other animal and need to find a home for it. Can you help me?
- Where can I get my dog/cat/rabbit/other animal neutered in my locality? Reduced fees?
- I’d like to open a rescue centre – how do I start?
- I’ve come across animals living in dreadful conditions – who can help?
If you’re looking for information on TNR or vets near you, please tell us where you live or we won’t be able to help you! And if you’re inquiring about adopting kittens or have a complicated query, please let us know your phone number so we can contact you and your County, so we know who to put you in touch with, where appropriate.
If you have a specific query about TNR in your area your best point of contact is Feral Cats Ireland (FB) who are the national network for TNR in Ireland. Post your query on their facebook page and your local group will respond.
We will try to reply within three days, but please be patient with us if it takes us a little longer – Animal Advocacy is run entirely by one volunteer!
Please note we are not a rescue organisation and will not take on felines or canines at this time. We do help by giving advice and support to people needing to re-home vaccinated and neutered companion animals and strays.
